Nicholas Kwan

I'm a first-year PhD student in the ECE department at the University of Toronto. My supervisor is Professor Wei Yu, with whom I also completed an MASc. Before that, I received a BASc in engineering physics with a minor in honours mathematics from the University of British Columbia, where I was supervised by Professor Lele Wang. My research interests are in information theory and coding theory, and I have a soft spot for applications of combinatorics and algebra therein.

Outside of academics, I climb rocks (read: plastic), listen to music, and do crosswords as fast as I can. I've also been making an effort to read more.

I have an email, a CV, and some publications.
